Where is Origin Tech Support? It's like they don't care about user feedback.

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Tech Support can be accessed trough the EA Help. There is a section on the website where you can get help about their products or get in touch with a technician.

Use the following URL: http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?product=origin

Click the platform you’re on, select the topic , then you can get in touch with Live Support. It should be pretty straightforward from that point on.

To reach Customer Service, visit the following URL: http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?product=origin

Once you are on the website, click the platform you use your game and choose the topics. Login with your username and password and Live Chat will be available and that’s it. I have previously used this with Battlefield due to a code-redemption error and it was fixed by the technician.

Answer by Alex Urbach

Yes, you can change your Origin ID, but to change it, you have to log-in on the client. Simply type the email address. Once you are logged in, click your username and then Edit My profile. Choose Edit next to Basic Information.

Respond to security protocols and enter your login verification to confirm the identity. You can change your ID/name in the following screen and that’s it.

What is Origin Helper Tool? It keeps trying to install when Origin requests it.

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Origin Helper tool is a component that’s installed with the Origin client. In some cases when you purchase games through the client, this Helper Tool provides fast and secure communication with Origin Servers. Without it, games like The Sims won’t be available for activation and purchasing. That’s why, you don’t need to touch it in any way. Leave it as it is with Origin to have everything working normally.

I forgot my security question on Origin and I can't change my name. Can you set a new password for me and send it on my e-mail? I can also send you screens when I create an account.

J
Answer by Julia Bocchetta

You are the only one who can gain access to the account. If you have a phone already set up, then the recovery should be easy. However, it's necessary to get in touch with Origin Support. They will send verification codes to the number attached to the account, and you will be able to assign a new password or question.

When I started up Origin it asks for permission to install a new helper tool. And then it just doesn't work, because I have no idea what this means and what toll is it, can't find it anywhere.

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

The Helper Tool is a component of Origin client. If you can’t install it properly, then remove Origin completely and reboot the PC. Before rebooting, check the Origin installation folders and delete everything you see. After this procedure, download a new client from the official website and launch it as Administrator. Reboot the PC again and it should work normally.

Every time I try to connect to a Battlefield 3 server I get the same error that I could not join the server.

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

Usually, firewall is guilty for errors like the one you're having. It is also possible that the lag is too big and you are kicked out in the connection phase. Use the filter system in Battlefield 3 and choose servers that are near to your location and you will not experience such issues. Firewall needs to be disabled or configured to allow the game to communicate with servers.

To create a new account, you need to visit the registration page. To make it easier, click the following URL: https://connect.origin.com/ie/create

Input your email to begin the registration process (this will be your log-in method until you create a username). Origin will change its name to EA Account to better resemble the definition of Electronic Arts company. Once you have filled the data, access your email to confirm the account and that’s it.

Origin Game Time is a feature that allows you to experience the full version of the game for a limited time (eg. 48 hours). After the game time has expired, you need to buy the full version to keep playing. This option is available per user and is not available for re-activation.
